What is COSPAR capacity building workshop?
COSPAR Capacity Building Workshop
The COSPAR Capacity Building Workshops are intensive two-week training programs designed to help motivated students evolve into independent early-career researchers. Through a hands-on, research-driven approach, participants will explore in this Solar Physics workshop the Sun–Earth connection and gain a deeper understanding of how solar activity influences our planet and its space environment. About the Workshop
This program is built on a “Learning by Doing” philosophy, where participants actively engage with real scientific data and modern analysis tools. The goal is to empower young scientists from across the region with practical skills in solar physics and space weather research.
Why Join Us?
Real Space Data Experience
Work directly with observational and archived data from major space missions such as SOHO, STEREO, and Wind.
Hands-on Scientific Tools
Develop practical skills in Python for data analysis and visualization of solar eruptions and space weather events.
Pathway to International Research
Outstanding participants may apply for COSPAR Fellowships, opening doors to international labs and peer-reviewed publications.
Expert Scientific Mentorship
Learn side-by-side with leading researchers in solar physics and space weather through interactive, research-focused training.
Explore the Sun–Earth System
Join us on a journey from the explosive activity on the Sun to its effects on Earth’s magnetic environment. Discover the full life cycle of solar eruptions and their role in shaping space weather.
