Arrival Information for Cairo
Getting to Cairo
- Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the main international gateway, served by numerous global airlines.
- Participants from all countries can reach Cairo by airplane.
Visa Requirements
- Most travelers need a visa (available online or on arrival).
- Citizens of the US, Canada, most European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and GCC countries can obtain a visa on arrival.
- Others may need to apply for an e-visa or through an Egyptian embassy/consulate.
- Always check the latest requirements with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or your local embassy.

- Invitation letters will be provided by NRIAG for those requiring them for visa applications.
Transportation to NRIAG (Helwan)
- Airport Pick-up: Students will be picked up at Cairo International Airport (CAI).
- From Cairo International Airport:
- Taxi/Uber/Careem directly to NRIAG (45–60 minutes).
- From Ramses Railway Station:
- Metro Line 1 southbound to Helwan station, then taxi or walk to NRIAG.
- From Turgoman Bus Station:
- Taxi or bus to nearby Metro station (Orabi/Nasser), then Line 1 to Helwan station.
Approximate Travel Costs
- Metro fare: 10–20 EGP.
- Taxi/Uber from airport to Helwan: 150–250 EGP.
- Taxi from Helwan Metro station to NRIAG: 10–20 EGP.
- Ride-hailing apps (Uber, Careem) widely available in Cairo.

Acceptance and invitation letters will be sent to participants who require them for visa applications. Please contact the Local Organizing Committee at NRIAG for any visa-related inquiries.
