National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG)

          The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Egypt is one of the oldest scientific institutions in the Arab world, established in 1903, with roots going back to astronomical activities in 1840. It provides advanced facilities for workshops in solar physics, including accommodation, meals, transport, lecture halls, and specialized solar research laboratories.

Scope of Work:

* Astronomy, geophysics, solar physics, space weather, and earthquake monitoring.

* Hosts national facilities such as the National Seismic Network and multiple observatories (Kottamia Astronomical Observatory, Abu Simbel Magnetic Observatory, Fayoum Magnetic Observatory).
